UEFA Champions League R016 Confirmed. Which teams will qualify for the Quarterfinal?

UEFA have confirmed the R016 fixtures via draw on Monday and fans are so excited for the matches. Let's look at the fixtures below :

Now the question is who will make it through to the quarterfinal. Since the draw fans have started predicting the result. Well, there are some one sided matches, some will be heavywheight clash as well some unpredictable matches. We've analyzed the teams with their performance so far and we have our own prediction. 

Let's start with Lazio vs Bayern. Though Bayern is favorite, this match is definitely not a one sided match. Lazio's squad is strong enough to give a fight with the German Giant. Moreover, both sides have a goal scoring machine.

Sevilla vs Dortmund is one of the exciting fixtures. Sevilla won the Europa last season and they are determined to go forward this season. On the contrary, Dortmund is in good form with all their potential stars.They've recently sacked their coach following humiliating defeat in  Bundesliga. If they keep up the form, they will surely make it through.

Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea can be called a heavyweight clash. Most exciting thing is both teams defense is solid this season. Chelsea has transformed completely after spending 200m+ in the transfer window. They've conceded less goal than any other team in the premier league this season. On the other hand, Atletico are at the top of  Laliga table and conceded only 4 goals. Chelsea has world class player where Atletico has experience of big matches. They are one of the top scoring sides in the champions league. Let's see if they can produce any magic against Manchester city who are title contender.

There's another fixture that can be called one sided match. That is Porto vs Juventus. Cristiano Ronaldo will be back at his home Portugal. We don't have to say much about it although Juventus is struggling in the Serie A this season. Besides Porto's defense is quite strong which could be very difficult for the turin side to find a goal.

The most awaited match of the R016 is Barcelona vs PSG.This match is probably going to be the best thrilling match in this round of the competition. Neymar will meet his old friend Lionel Messi. However, Neymar has recently suffered an injury. So it is not confirmed yet whether he will be available for the fixture or not. But Barca's poor form definitely makes PSG favorite. Meanwhile, their coach Ronald Koeman is confident that they will be back in form. So let's see if Neymar and Mbappe duo could take PSG to the next stage or Messi shows his magic.

Leipzig vs Liverpool is surely an unpredictable fixture. Liverpool's injuries make them less favorite this season. Despite the injury issue they're still in good position in the league. But Leipzig is one of the underrated clubs in europe. Besides they are so dangerous in attack as the german side knocked out Man Utd from the group stage and qualified for R016. So it will not be a easy fixture for the English champion.

 

The last fixture of this list is Atalanta vs Real Madrid. Atalanta is the underdog of the champions league. They beat both Liverpool and Ajax at their home this season but their inconsistent performance makes the Spanish champion side favorite. Moreover, it is Real Madrid, 13 times European champion, they will face and Zidane's side knows how to play this kind of games.
